How Carson Online Works
The Carson Online™ program allows students to access their courses from the comfort of their own home. Because our courses are 100% online, you will experience a flexibility that the traditional, structured classroom environment cannot offer. So how does it work?
No Cost Program
Carson Online is a no cost program for full-time online students offered by Carson City School District. Since this is a public program, the same funding used for traditional students can be used for online students; therefore there is no fee for taking online courses for full-time students.
Everything is Online
It works just like a traditional high school, except everything is online. You can login and access your courses from home, the public library, or anywhere there is a computer and Internet access.
Teacher-Supported Learning
You'll have access to one-on-one instruction from Nevada-certified teachers 24/5 (Sunday 8pm – Friday 6pm) and 24/7 help from our support staff. Teachers communicate with you through phone, email, and instant messaging. Our teachers even have a virtual online whiteboard to visually explain concepts to you.
