Frequently Asked Questions
Who will issue my diploma?Upon completion of the required credits for graduation, and any state-required tests, New World Educational Center will issue your diploma.
How much does this program cost?
Because we receive the same funding that pays for you to attend traditional schools, New World Online Charter is provided at no cost to you.
How does this program exist?
The State of Arizona, as many states across the country, has seen the need for more options in education. These options include Charter schools, which are public schools, but are run by their own individual school board.
How do these courses work?
Our online curriculum is comprehensive, rigorous, engaging, and self-paced. To see a demo of what the courses look like go to: AdvancedAcademics.com. All of our courses are taught by Highly-Qualified Arizona-Certified Teachers who are available to students through instant messaging, phone, and email. Students also have access to 24/7 technical support.
How quickly can I move through the course?
Courses are set up on a quarterly schedule, similar to a typical nine-weeks. Students will focus on two to three courses every nine weeks. However, students move through the courses and coursework at a pace that fits your style of learning. For example, if someone is really good at Math, but not-so good at English, they may complete their assigned Math class in half the time it takes them to complete their English class.
Can I take classes part-time and still be a part of New World Online Charter?
No, you must be a full-time student at New World.
How many courses must a full-time student take?
Students will be enrolled in two to three different courses every nine weeks, unlike traditional school where you may be working in seven different courses at the same time. This has proven to be less stressful for students, and truly allows them to focus in and master the course, rather than just trying to "make it through" the course. Every nine weeks you will be assigned your new courses that will keep you on-track for graduation.
What grade levels does New World Online Charter serve?
New World Online Charter serves students in grades 9 through 12.
Does it matter where I live?
New World Online Charter can serve any student who resides in the state of Arizona.
Can students with IEPs (Individualized Education Plans) participate in the program?
As with all Arizona public schools and districts, New World Online Charter accepts all students and will not discriminate on the basis of race, ethnicity, gender, religion, national origin or disability or any other characteristic.
